Brij Hotels, a renowned name in boutique hospitality, has successfully raised $4 million in a Series A funding round, with Manipal Education & Medical Group (MEMG) Family Office taking the lead alongside participation from notable high net worth individuals such as Abhay Jain, Abhiroop Jayanthi of Bain Capital, Rajendra Rao, and Prashant Deshpande. This funding marks a significant milestone for Brij Hotels as it sets its sights on strategic expansion and solidifying its position within the fiercely competitive hospitality sector.

The infusion of capital will be directed towards strategic growth initiatives and strengthening Brij Hotels’ presence in the hospitality industry. Established in 1991 by Udit Kumar and Anant Kumar, Brij Hotels has earned acclaim for its collection of hotels offering distinctive, hyperlocal experiences while prioritizing sustainability. With a current portfolio of eight operational hotels in key tourist destinations, Brij Hotels aims to enhance its offerings and extend its reach.

Central to Brij Hotels’ ethos is a commitment to sustainability and the preservation of local culture. Embracing a zero-kilometre concept to minimize environmental impact, the company emphasizes sourcing and training 75% of its hotel staff locally while actively promoting and preserving local art and culture, thus providing guests with immersive experiences that resonate with the essence of each destination.
